Chelsea Joy Handler, born February 25, 1975 on the 25th of February, 1975 in Livingston New Jersey, is the youngest of six children. She was the eldest child of three children in a big family. Her father was a used automobile dealer and her mother was a homemaker. Her mother is a German who immigrated into America in the United States from Germany in 1958. After 10 years of fight against breast cancer, she passed away in 1989. Handler was born into an Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler enjoyed a pleasant and healthy life being raised in a wealthy area. When she was only 19, she made the decision to relocate into Los Angeles and pursue acting. In order to support her family, Handler began to work as an actor. When she turned age 21, Handler decided to pursue the stand-up comic profession full-time, since she discovered her storytelling abilities. Handler's first job was as an actress in an all-female cast for the Oxygen channel's reality television series Girls behaving poorly. It was a combination of cameras hidden in the background and funny jokes. This show aired between 2002 and 2005. Handler started appearing on other TV shows, such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was hired on The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler's big break came in 2006, when she began hosting her show on E! The show was named the Chelsea Handler Series. The show ran for two seasons. Handler continued her stand-up career by doing a show on Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and which was a tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend & HBO have shown Handler's stand-up performance. In 2010 it was announced that the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were made public.
